In the passage Red Pill or Blue Pill: Is Ignorance Bliss? The author Christine Cornell and Patrick Malcolmson states that, "Freedom is not something that most people are going to be inclined towards or be receptive to” I disagree with this statement because most people desire freedom, for example in the movie the Truman Show filmed directed by Peter Weir and written by Andrew Niccol. They discuss the main character Truman, living in a life that revolves around him, and that everything is perfect, Truman has known freedom and cannot experience the really world life, which drives him crazy and does the most unthinkable thing just so that he can have a dose of freedom. In my opinion I will have to have some sort of freedom, even if my freedom is limited it will be better than not having freedom at all. Also most people are inclined to freedom, it’s their decision if they take it or not. Freedom is not mandatory is on your own terms, if you feel that you like what people do, for you or have no say in things are you basically like the ideal of people controlling your life, than you don’t want to have freedom, but if you don’t like none of those things than you desire freedom and you are able to have it.

  1. This is some deep thinking. I like how you use ideas from Truman to support your claim.
